The Mido Ocean Star, technically the Ocean Star Commander, joined the brand’s lineup in 1959, a relative latecomer to the burgeoning dive watch genre that became firmly established in that decade, pioneered by iconic models like the Rolex Submariner and Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.
