Around four years ago, Omega discontinued the First Omega in Space (FOiS), a model released in 2012 to immortalize the first Omega chronograph worn in space. Now it's back, and with several relatively subtle updates that make a pretty massive impact.
Omega has unveiled a new version of its "First Omega in Space" Speedmaster, and there are some big changes compared to the previous version. Buzz Aldrin’s Speedmaster ST 105.012, which was the actual watch worn on the Moon (and thus the original and only true “Moonwatch”), was later stolen under mysterious circumstances under transit to the Smithsonian Museum in the early 1970s, and remains one of the greatest lost timepieces in history.
