There are several clones of the Rolex 3235 movement which appear in 41mm Subs, and 36mm & 41mm Datejusts. Please note: There are two version of the genuine Rolex 3235 movement which have slightly different sized date wheels.

#1. Quick Review of a gen 3235 movement. Ok guys, today I’m sharing some thoughts about the new 3235 movement, not sure whether there has been a review before or not. I recently acquired a gen 126300 with jubilee and blue dial. Originally I was searching for a 126334 but this came as a good deal and I catched it. In my current quest to trade my Kermit for either a vintage GMT or the inevitable modern 3235 Submariner, I stumbled upon this very interesting article detailing a watchmaker's perspective on the practical differences of the outgoing 3135 and the new 3235.
The SD43 utilizes Rolex's updated 3235 movement that boasts 14 new patents and a 90% redesign from its 3135 predecessor including the Chronergy escapement and 70 hour power reserve complete with a +2/-2 Rolex timing certification. Based on my pristine experience with the 3135 and satisfactory experience with the 3235 (even if hit and miss), I trust Rolex and I have no doubt the source of the problem can be found and addressed, eventually. Genuine 3235 used to have a 55° lift angle but Rolex have updated it to a 53° recently if I read that right in the Rolex forums. VS Factory Officially declared their 3235 to have a 59° lift angle in their announcement but when KJ2020 said it's supposed to be 55° when he did the computations.
