My Hamilton Satchel in pebbled leather is from MK regular boutique, and my SLG's (small leather goods) are from the outlet. I can see the difference between the quality and color. 3. This is definitely the most egregious example of a lower quality outlet style vs retail/boutique style. Personally, I think there's a large turnover in SA's at the outlets which may account for their lack of knowledge. Outlet bags are different from the Boutique bags, interior as well as exterior. I have a few Outlet bags but not many. I don't have a problem buying from the outlets but I examine the bags carefully. I don't baby my outlet bags either.
