They're only minute and it's very close but there are certainly a lot of differences that someone who knows Rolex and has a jeweler loupe could easily tell without opening it. Average person though no way. Noob V7-V9 can accept gen parts which means any damaged part can be replaced with gen or aftermarket gen spec (that’s what Rolex does on gen watches during servicing - they aren’t impervious to breaking/falling off either). The answer to that question is either JF V2S Submariner or the Noob V7 Submariner. Both have advantages and disadvantages which I hope to outline in this post. Gen is stunning. I love my V7 but it doesn't compare really, I mean look at the dial, insert. all very expensive things to put right, as well as the crystal to a lesser degree.
